We are looking for a skilled Construction Project Engineer with a passion for construction and a strong technical background. As a Construction Project Engineer, you will work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of construction projects. You will contribute to project planning, coordination, and monitoring activities, while ensuring adherence to project specifications, budgets, and schedules. Responsibilities:


Project Planning and Coordination:


  • Assist in the procurement of necessary permits and approvals from regulatory authorities.
  • Identify design conflicts or discrepancies and propose solutions to resolve them.
  • Design and Engineering Support:
  • Review construction plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure constructability and compliance with codes and regulations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to establish project goals, scope, and specifications.
  • Contribute to the preparation of project documentation, including contracts, RFIs, and change orders.
  • Coordinate and schedule construction activities, materials, and equipment to maintain project progress.
  • Assist in the development of project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Provide technical support and collaborate with design professionals during the project development phase.


Construction Monitoring and Quality Control:


  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress, quality, and adherence to plans.
  • Document and report construction issues, non-compliance, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure adherence to project specifications.
  • Assist in the resolution of construction-related technical challenges.


Project Documentation and Reporting:


  • Prepare and distribute project-related reports to stakeholders as required.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including meeting minutes, progress reports, and construction logs.
  • Assist in the review and processing of contractor submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings.
  • Contribute to the preparation of project closeout documents and as-built drawings.


Requirements:


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials.
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in using construction management software and tools.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Proven experience as a Construction Project Engineer or similar role.
