A Project Manager will be responsible for the coordination and completion of projects. Oversees all aspects of projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project. Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project. May require a bachelor's degree and required years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
Responsibilities:
- Vet solutions with a cross functional team to implement or sunset process steps.
- Partner across teams to limit defects from flowing downstream.
- Act as the SME on the process flow.
- Leverage project plans regularly and effectively communicate project expectations and timelines to team members and partners in a timely and clear fashion.
- Will be responsible for ensuring the project is on track.
- Own end-to-end processes and events on a project, take initiative, and use problem-solving skills to think beyond the task to the outcome that needs to be achieved
- Lead day-to-day project progression while considering scope, risk, and deadlines
- This role will partner with IT, HR, Legal and other internal stakeholders to define and refine company processes.
- Apply a continuous improvement approach to identify ways for People Operations to eliminate wasted process steps.
- Facilitate problem-solving activities to define problems, assess current state root causes, design, and test solutions, and implement solutions leading to desired outcomes tied to business results.
- Identify breaks and bottlenecks in processes and propose solutions to improve speed and scale.
- This role is responsible for analyzing and streamlining People Operations and HR processes.
- Ensure all partners are aligned with clear planning and defined processes to help effectively execute the project.
- Create and implement documentation to enable (and at times, create) SOPs, job aids, and communications material to educate and train team members and partners.
- Independently gather information from a variety of sources; to analyze, interpret, and summarize data gathered, and to deliver insights and implement improvements.
Requirements:
- Must be able to identify breaks and bottlenecks in the processes for improvement.
- Must have a minimum of 2-3 years either project or program management experience. Will also consider a senior project coordinator if they possess the above.
- Ability to critically think, prior partnership experience w/tech and product teams, and the ability to define problems and solve them.
- Software: Workday and Jira experience
- Must be process oriented, problem solver and test solutions, to work on building requirements.
- Team player and excellent communication skills.
