The Role:

The Project Manager Lead supports the Senior Project Manager in operations tasks. They are responsible for assigning, tracking and reporting status of projects to product development, creative, and marketing. Additionally, the Project Manager Lead maintains brand relationships internally with cross-functional team partners. This position is part of the direct team link between our Creative Team and our Product Development/Merchandising and Marketing departments. This position maintains constant communication with all internal departments involved. The Project Manager Lead actively monitors stages of the process as well as enforcing deadlines for packaging merchandising artwork and translations. This position reports to the Senior Project Manager.


What YOU’ll do:

Project Management

  • Assist the SVP of Merchandising and Packaging and Senior Project Manager with communicating artwork and packaging updates with vendors.
  • Support manager with the PD team communication of next steps and updates if on any changes.
  • Updating and maintaining reorders using trackers to make sure primary and secondary artwork is up to date.
  • Timeline support to Senior Project Manager to help communicate updates to cross-functional team members (Product Development, Packaging, Operations – including Demand Planning and Retail Ops, Regulatory, Marketing, PR and Creative)
  • Takes meeting notes and follows up with next steps.
  • Attend weekly production meetings with Senior Project Manager, COO and PD team to review all timelines and update status.
  • Follow up with outside partners to maintain timelines as well as internal teams to meet deadlines.
  • Coordinate sharing workflow information to production, photography, samples, design, and copywriters.
  • Attend and support Senior Project Manager with the weekly packaging and artwork workload meetings to communicate to PD team on project workload priorities, timing and action.
  • Attend internal traffic meetings with Senior Project Manager to ensure the creative team is meeting internal deadlines and share status on the translation process.
  • Prepare and support upper Senior PM in management meetings on a weekly basis.
  • Maintain open communication channels with design team on priorities daily
  • Upload and route artwork within PD team for review before release to vendors.
  • Understand project priorities
  • Participate with manager on cross -functionally in International strategic alignment meetings for all necessary due dates and deliverables.
  • Own internal requests and track all development samples with teams – PR needs, Photography, etc
  • Preemptively review potential issues and escalate to manager; collaborate with the PD team to reach a viable solution.
  • Coordinate kickoff and product positioning copy deadlines cross functionally.


Translations Management

  • Create a translations project tracker for reference and internal status.
  • Send translations to field team making sure feedbacks are provided on schedule.
  • All translation approval feedbacks will be owned by this role.
  • Coordinate and maintain all translation approvals and process cross check with existing field teams in the markets and retailers.
  • Collaborate with Editorial Director to transition packaging brand copy into multi languages.
  • Coordinate with Senior Director of Visual Merchandising on seasonal gondola updates and global copy translations.
  • Work with finance to approve translation service invoices as well as owning the translations budget by project/division.

  • Must demonstrate strong strategic, creative, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

  • Able to handle multiple priorities
  • Google, Excel skills is a must
  • Team player
  • 2-3 years of related business experience, Beauty or Retail industry preferred
  • Passion for makeup
  • Project management experience a plus
