Summary

Our client is seeking a motivated and well qualified Project Manager to join our established team of professionals.

Our client is a regional electrical contractor with a focus on commercial and industrial projects. They have built a reputation on consistently providing good work, an ability to stay in tune with changes in technology and style and a genuine concern for its clients, suppliers and employees.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

· Own project management from pre-construction to closeout and customer acceptance

· Coordinate and present status reports, keeping management abreast of progress.

· Responsible for reviewing specifications and bid packages to identify potential risks/exposures

· Maintains overall responsibility and authority on the project

· Organizes and maintains all functions necessary for a successful project including: performance bond, insurance, fees and permits, job cost recap estimates, labor man hours report, change orders, etc.

· Works with in house people to plan the job as a team to ensure that all requirements of the contract are met and how each function will be handled and which individuals will do them.

· Establish the project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policies.

· Sets up and maintains a system of reporting or documenting all occurrences, progress, delays, job changes, etc. on the project. Prepares material requisition requests and send to purchasing.

· Investigate any potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures within the company guidelines, and under supervision.

· Coordinates with purchasing and shipping/receiving for all delivery of equipment and materials to jobsite.

· Estimate large projects and supervise others in completing estimates. Review estimates of the other project managers. Contributes to a team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

· Supervise the preparation of any and all change quotations for presentation to the prime client. Negotiate all change quotations to a conclusion.

· Prepare monthly costing reports

· Manage financial aspects of contracts (progress billing, rental equipment, income/expenses) to protect the company’s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with the client. .

· Represent the company in project meetings.

· Schedule resources, labor, material, and equipment for timely completion of job

· Work with field team to ensure goals are met

· Ensure paperwork, permits, licenses are in place to meet timing

Cost

· Ensure field team, sub-contractors and other resources keep project on schedule to avoid delays and extra costs.

Education and Experience

· Minimum 5 years of project management experience of relevant projects preferred

· Bachelor degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred
