Job Title: Project Manager (Commercial and Residential Construction)
Location: New Jersey, USA
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Manager to oversee and successfully deliver commercial and residential construction projects in New Jersey. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing construction projects from inception to completion, with expertise in both commercial and residential sectors. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met while maintaining effective communication with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of commercial and residential construction projects, from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project specifications, budgets, and schedules.
- Prepare and present project status reports, updates, and financial analyses to senior management and stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress and performance, proactively identifying potential risks, issues, and deviations from the plan, and develop and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Manage and negotiate contracts and change orders, ensuring they are properly documented, tracked, and implemented.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, and deliverables, in collaboration with stakeholders and clients.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and building codes.
- Coordinate and manage all project activities, including resource allocation, procurement, subcontractor selection, and project scheduling.
- Continuously improve project management processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency, quality, and profitability.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are understood and met.
- Foster positive relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction throughout the project and addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and deliver projects within budget.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in commercial and residential construction, with a minimum of [X] years of successful project delivery.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Primavera, Microsoft Project, or similar.
- Demonstrated financial acumen, including budgeting, cost estimation, and financial analysis.
- Familiarity with relevant construction software and technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to travel to project sites within New Jersey as needed.
Salary:
The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $180,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
