Project Manager- Financial Services- Boston, MA

We are seeking candidates for a Project Manager position with an industry leading financial services firm located in Boston, MA. This position will serve as the primary contact with user groups and systems management to address the audit. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of project management experience within financial services, infrastructure, or information security industries.

This is a 7+ month contract that will pay $60-65/hr (depending on experience) within a 40-hour workweek.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a technical, subject matter resource for systems and business line staff
• Serve as primary contact with user groups and system management
• Manage overall project communication
• Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the appropriate life cycle phases for implementation
• Support for large or small projects
• Provide resolution of major issues and manage project interdependencies and handoffs
• Coordinate resources, schedules, task assignments, project plans, and perform analysis
• Provide advice on methods and recommend changes in project management processes, standards, and strategies
• Lead preparation of business case, cost/benefit analysis, contingency planning and risk assessment
• Develop timelines, notes, status reports, and risk/issues

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in Project Management, Risk/Issue Management, and Ownership
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required
• Experience within financial services, Infrastructure, or Information Security preferred
• Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
