Job Description

Would you like to work for an Aerospace Engineering build company who work with some of the biggest names in the industry? Within this position, you will be responsible for leading a project team in the development of experimental and new technology hardware for space flight applications.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead a multi-disciplined engineering team to complete all aspects of the project including:

-requirements definition

-design

-engineering review boards

-manufacture

-integration

-operations

-environmental testing

  • Select and apply engineering techniques and procedures to analyze and evaluate specific problems, data, or other features of the work which are broad in scope and complexity.
  • Perform risk management including risk assessment and implementation of risk reducing measures
  • Interface directly with customer project manager or management team daily.
  • Define, communicate, and mitigate project and project risks
  • Perform cost and schedule estimating and management functions.
  • Coordinate and support flight hardware and software products and systems development phases, through design, procurement, fabrication, test, data analysis, certification, and flight/mission delivery.
  • Develop overall project schedules, budgets and status reports as well as develop risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
  • Address project problems in a timely and straightforward manner


Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in project/product development, preferably within the aerospace industry
  • 5+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing
  • BS with an Engineering discipline


Preferences

  • Aerospace industry preferred
  • PMP certification
  • Master’s Degree in an Engineering discipline
