About The Job
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The incumbent provides management of activities and deliverables for pharmaceutical drug substance projects, product manufacturing or other projects as assigned by site management.
Identifies, coordinates and facilitates execution of tasks to achieve the deliverables for assigned projects. Drives the progress of the project within the constraints of a budget and schedule to meet specific deliverables.
Works with a cross-functional team consisting of technical, operational, quality and regulatory members.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities, And Accountabilities
Has overall responsibility for assigned projects
Develops and improves project management tools as required
Establishes project plans, including objectives, milestones, resources, costs and critical issues to deliver project within quality, schedule and budget requirements
Identifies critical project tasks, risks and issues. Facilitates courses of action to ensure key milestones are achieved. Notifies relevant personnel of potential delays and/or issues
Functions as primary contact for project issues, including the planning and execution of defined deliverables, project resources, schedule and budget
Updates project plans and keeps project members, customers and management informed of progress
Tracks progress of all activities against plan and action items with assignments and due dates
Evaluates and assesses project changes with respect to deliverables, timelines, and budget
Communicates project changes (scope, schedule and budget) with management. Ensures changes are fully documented.
Prepares scope change documents and invoice requests
Works in a matrix organization
Leads multi-disciplinary project teams
Schedules and leads internal and external team meetings. Provides agendas and issues minutes
Coordinates activities of team members and ensures timely and accurate reporting of critical information
Demonstrates organizational proficiency and collaborates with others
Communicates clearly, effectively and timely with the project team, customer and management
Provides regular updates on projects to senior leadership
Prepares Evaluation Reports as responses to RFP's as agreed by Business Development, including set-up and production costs, necessary investments, required resources, and potential risks.
Reviews business development proposals
Adheres to personal moral, ethical, legal, and behavioral conduct that is in compliance with the Siegfried Code of Conduct.
Adheres to all safety, health, environmental and cGMP regulations.
Desired Skills And Experience
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A bachelor's or master's degree in chemistry, engineering or equivalent discipline with 2+ years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry (process, analytical or manufacturing)
Must have thorough knowledge of the pharmaceutical drug substance development process, Project or technical management experience required.
PMP certification required
Must have thorough knowledge of API manufacturing, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and ICH standards
Must have demonstrated ability to lead and influence others to achieve outcomes.
Must have ability to effectively manage internal and external relationships and expectations.
Must have ability to effectively guide and lead teams to achieve desired results within timelines and budget commitments.
Must show ability to manage multiple projects in parallel.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to work efficiently with people of all education levels and cultures. Must be very conscientious and detail-oriented. Must be a team player. Must be a self-starter and initiator. Must be willing to travel on occasion. Must be able to use Microsoft word, excel, power point, project, and on-line meeting tools
