Job Description

Project Manager - K-12 / Mixed-Use projects - Philadelphia, PA.


Goodall Brazier Executive Search is on the lookout for an outstanding Project Manager for a general contractor operating in the Philadelphia, PA area with 5 to 20 years of experience coming from a general contracting background.


They are looking for a candidate that has experience within Higher Education and Mixed-Used projects, leading projects ranging in values from $10-150M.


As a Project Manager, you will plan, direct, and coordinate activities to ensure the company success with outstanding organizational skills and strong leadership.



The Project Manager will need to ensure (but is not limited to):


  • Establishes and negotiates all subcontracts.
  • Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required.
  • Manages the project plan from pre-construction through completion, with a consistent and proactive approach to conflict mitigation.
  • Problem solver & confident in conflict resolutions.
  • Reviews project proposals, bids, and contracts to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing the project.
  • Manage project reports to CM, client, or other parties involved.
  • Prepare all Owner Change Order Proposals for review and approval by CM.
  • Weekly meeting management with project staff to define work plan & duties.
  • Ensure all documents reviews ‘as-built’ are correct for submission to CM.
  • Corporate/Site Safety management & training procedures.
  • Ensure all construction activities and provide effective communication between construction workers.
  • Manage construction ‘look ahead’ schedules, budget, change orders and forecasts.
  • Direct operations for all trades on-site from ground-up until completion/clients/owners’ handover.
  • Outstanding Time management and organizational skills.
  • Complete review for RFI’s and classification.
  • Manage subcontractors’ relationship and all vendors involved whilst overseeing the collaboration with superintendents.
  • Manage project closeout, including commissioning.
  • Manage all QA/QC Controls and inspection.
  • Ability to delegate work appropriately to all the personnel involved on-site including Assistant Project Managers, Estimators, Superintendents, labour forces.



EDUCATION


  • Up-to-date software skills level is a must (Primavera, Procore, Excel, Word, etc).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering & Mechanical Engineering preferred but not essential for consideration.
