Project Engineer (Entry Level)

Our client, a major chemical company, is looking for an Entry-level Project Engineer to work on a long-term contract in Houston, TX/La Porte, TX.

Main Responsibilities: Interacting and communicating effectively with team members, EPC firms, subcontractors, vendors, and other consultants. Uses expertise to support end-user providing specialized technical input in all steps of EPC deliverable completeness. Working collaboratively with Owner and Engineering company staff to review and evaluate vendor bid proposals for expansion project. Review and provide support on the documentation process created during detail design. Review and coordinate collection of comments from team members on detail design documentation and specifications. Support detail design work for all disciplines as required. Participate in multidiscipline document reviews. Identify EPC contractor, vendor packages and Construction contractors. Provide weekly status of the work. Assist Project Director/ manager to conduct technical meetings and prepare detail minutes of meeting Main Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Civil 3-5 years of experience in a similar position in the petrochemical industry EPC experience Highly motivated professional MS Office knowledge
