Project Accountant Jobs

Description

As a Project Accountant, you must be accurate and reliable in handling accounts and documents. Being strong at math and having a high degree of organizational ability are essential. The ideal candidate for this position is able to work as part of a dynamic team and able to work in an environment where work assignments change frequently. Responsibilities may include:

• Troubleshoot and problem-solve project billing issues
• Prepare invoices for clients and review draft invoices for appropriate labor and expense charges. Ensure accuracy with billing rates and billing ceilings. Make appropriate changes and reclassifications.
• Assist Project Manager in reviewing project costs (budget vs actual)
• Support project managers in project setup and project maintenance in Deltek Vision
• Research client invoicing questions and fulfill client requests for invoice support documentation
• Perform other assignments as required
• Support the month-end closing process and reconciliations
• Prepare project financial reports (i.e. WIP aging, AR aging, project budget vs actual)

An ideal candidate:

• Experience in Architecture or Engineering industry is preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills (written and oral).
• Deltek Vision Accounting system experience is preferred
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Solid knowledge of Excel
• Ability to interface with project managers, clients, and architects.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• Strong mathematical aptitude
