Job Description

Now Brewing – program manager, Innovation and Architecture for Store Operations! #tobeapartner

From the beginning, Starbucks set out to be a different kind of company. One that not only celebrated coffee and the rich tradition, but that also brought a feeling of connection. We are known for developing extraordinary leaders who share this passion and are guided by their service to others.

In this role, you will be a key member of the Store, Inventory and Product team, working on simplifying the End-to-End Inventory experience for Store partners at Starbucks. You will join the team at the beginning of a multi-year inventory and ordering system upgrade effort, which enables business transformation by driving efficiencies and improvement in inventory related processes, overhauling the item assortment processes, and simplifying inventory references at stores by implementing a ‘notional’ view of item management inside the Store. This is a highly cross functional role, engaging with multiple Store Operations teams, Global Supply Chain, Master/Core data functions and Starbucks technology on a regular basis.

As a program manager, Inventory and Architecture, you will

  • Participate in solution designs with technology teams focused on large cross-functional processes that will drive business transformation, always keeping store partner experience front and center.
  • Evaluate change impacts and opportunities to simplify store inventory and ordering tasks that will be enabled by system upgrades
  • Work closely with the implementation branch of the team to plan for pilot testing and full scale roll out to 10,000+ stores in the coming years
  • Ensure the program progresses by identifying and resolving cross functional risks or decisions required to enable delivery of the program
  • Collaborate with colleagues all working on initiatives to address simplification of store tasks, working through any cross-project touchpoints and dependencies with other program teams

We’d love to hear from people with:

  • Ability to define a long term strategy to prioritize and plan for long lead deliverables
  • Experience working through ideation, problem solving and decisions with multiple groups and leader levels, in partnership with technology partners. (5+ years)
  • Ability to work cross functionally in ambiguous, innovative environments.
  • Experience with implementing ERP, or Inventory/Ordering systems at scale, including participating in design, testing and change management. (5+ years)
  • Experience working with master data and supply chain functions and processes.(3+ years)
  • Ability to zoom in and out, understanding key detailed information while maintaining a broad perspective
