Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000

OVERVIEW

Start Now. Play Forever. Ace Pickleball Club, LLC (APC) is a fast-growing indoor pickleball franchise. Each club features between 8-16 courts in a climate-controlled environment. Using on-court technology for instant replay and live streaming to provide the ultimate pickleball playing experience. Our mission is to be the most advanced, most inclusive pickleball club in operation, and support players as they explore the lifelong sport of pickleball. Members of all ages and skill levels can visit the Ace Pickleball Club location to participate in a variety of activities including daily open play, clinics, leagues, tournaments, social and glow-in-the-dark events. The Ace Pickleball Club experience comes down to three simple words. Learn, Play. Compete.

The Program & Events Manager of APC must be highly organized, adaptable and brings great attention to detail, problem-solving and leadership skills to the team. This person leads by example, fosters a culture of teamwork and can facilitate a pickleball tournament with several hundred players. They inherently place value on knowing people’s names and makes friends without trying. They build a community and foster an optional pickleball playing experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·Plan, schedule and manage all aspects of the programs, tournaments, leagues, clinics, camps and special events offered

·Partner with the Operations Manager to ensure appropriate staffing and marketing is planned for programs and events

·Ensure the guest experience during programs and events is optimal

·Manage tournaments from start to finish, including planning, scheduling, food & beverage, check-in, match schedules, participant communication, music, etc.

·Organize league schedule and play experience

·Ensure private events are well-organized and facilitated through regular communication, support of APC Member Specialists, coordination of food & beverage and clean up.

·Manage and schedule camps and clinics for all age groups and levels of play, including hiring instructors and facilitating participant sign-up

·Manage risk and safety issues inherent with events and ensure contingency plans are in place in case of emergencies.

·Confirm all events and programs are scheduled in the Point of Sale system, club calendars are up to date and necessary resources are allocated

·Evaluate the success of programs and events by reviewing attendance, participant feedback and financial data to improve future events and programs.

·Manage the programs and events budget ensuring all expenses are within budget, revenue goals are met, and vendors are paid.

QUALIFICATIONS

·Previous experience managing tournaments, leagues and clinics in a fitness or sports setting is a plus

·Previous experience managing and organizing multiple one-time and on-going events and programs is required

·Proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability

·Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously

·Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·Effectively builds strong relationships within in the community and on the team

·Detail oriented and highly organized

·Enthusiastic about pickleball and/or fitness

·Experience using point of sale systems and Microsoft Office

·Interested in growth within the company and open to travel
