Job Description
PBG Consulting seeks highly qualified individuals to serve as a Program Business Analyst in support of a mission-oriented critical program. A Program Business Analyst may be involved in various aspects of program management, such as program planning, budgeting, and evaluation of program outcomes. They may also analyze and report on program performance and make recommendations for process improvements to help the program meet its goals. T his role requires a strong understanding of both business analysis and program management concepts, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. Location: Remote -(DMV) Key Responsibilities: Responsible for building, maintaining , and analyzing program data. Duties include generating program/project status, cost and schedule indicators, project schedule trends, critical path analysis, and schedule optimizations. Responsible for developing and analyzing weekly/monthly reports on business related metrics. Develop Business Cases Perform Business Case Justification Identifies potential project trends and risks to management. Develops business systems and processes based on user needs and requirements. Devises or modifies procedures to enable management to make program decisions based on cost benefit analysis and schedule considerations. May have quality assurance responsibilities. Serves as an expert contributor in particular business processes responsible for formulating systems scope and objectives relative to the organization's business plan and industry requirements. Acts independently or as a member of a project team responsible for providing guidance concerning the business implications of the application of various systems. Can create mathematical models and provide quantitative methods related to business processes/ practices. Supports all aspects of program/project management involving planning, developing, organizing, coordinating, and conducting organizational activities to ensure program's operational policies, processes, and program elements are integrated and documented. Prepares agendas and plans for meetings (e.g., booking meeting space, arranging conference lines). Coordinates with all levels of employees and management to develop, coordinate, and obtain senior-level management input and approval for all incoming or outgoing correspondence for the group. Edits professional documents in conformance with set style guides and industry best practices. Writes and/or reviews all documented communications including, but not limited to, briefings, memorandums, congressional correspondences, meeting notes, status reports, presentations, briefings, and talking points. Determines the suitability of content material for target audiences. Participates in projects from the planning stage, provides additional or missing materials, and edits, organizes, and formats content for clarity, flow, and integrity. Develops, tracks, and analyzes business-related metrics. Works with limited supervision as part of the program management team whose core responsibility is to gather, analyze, and report on data collected. Provides support in planning, developing and implementing strategic plans and schedules; communication planning. Works with multiple stakeholders to develop wide-ranging reports and briefings. Completes executive level meeting minutes and recorded actions items. Required skills and experience: Requires at least 5 years of business analysis and program analysis exp; Additionally coordinator experience Bachelor's degree Experience in developing Statements of Work and RFI Ability to work quickly and independently with excellent analytical ability. Specialized experience is experience in collecting business requirements, analyzing business needs, and developing process improvements for the program and/or service offerings across multiple procurement channels such as Multiple Award Schedule, Blanket Purchase Agreements, GWACs, Req uisitions. The experience must include Analysis and evaluation resulting in the development of new or modified methods, leads management studies, initiatives, or data-gathering efforts; Proficiency in presentations, written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills; Project management leadership with complex projects. Experience building, maintaining , and reporting program data. Proven experience business process documentation, technical writing, or a similar role. Proficient in MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Suite tools. Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities. Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated outstanding level of professionalism in providing client support, including ability to exercise good judgment, discretion, tact, and diplomacy. Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information. Ability to apply detailed knowledge of organizational procedures to make independent decisions and serve as a credible resource for a senior management team. Ability to work with all levels of internal staff, as well as outside clients and vendors. Superior interpersonal skills including courtesy, professionalism, and a cooperative attitude.
