Job Description
Summary About the Position: This position is located with the Department of Education Activity in Alexandria, Virginia. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and conduct a variety of studies, analyses, and reports designed to identify needs and develop justifications for program activity requirements. Determine the applicability and effect of new or proposed policies, executive orders, agency directives, and other agency decisions on organizational operations, managerial programs and requirements. Prepare and/or provide briefings and presentations on analytical findings and recommendations. Provide authoritative advice, guidance, and analysis for DoDEA on all Policy matters. Serve as a senior advisor for all DoDEA policy contacts. Identify systems, policies and procedures that effectively ensure records control based on analyses of staff workload and general needs. Serve as web master for the Office of Operations, Plans, Legislation and Policy; to include site development, maintenance of web site, and monitoring periodic updates of information submitted for publication Analyze and develop improved records, files, and case management systems. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience for GS 13: One year of specialized experience which includes: analyzing programs for effectiveness in achieving planned goals and objectives; providing guidance on policy, programs, and procedures; writing policy supporting policy development and ensuring effectiveness of office record systems, including mail management, docketing, and reporting. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
