Job Description

Overview


      Summary

      This position is in the Operational Support Division, Office of Overseas Protective Operations, International Program Directorate, Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS/IP/OPO/OSD). You will serve as a Program Analyst supporting and advising the supervisor by providing expert guidance to optimize systems, procedures, and processes; evaluating operations and program effectiveness; and developing solutions to make improvements or address performance issues.

        Coordinates the development of policies associated with high-threat protection programs. Coordinates the development and implementation of standard operating procedures, etc that ensure uniformity in programs are planned and managed throughout OPO.

        Provides advice & guidance to Mgmt to ensure that OPO initiatives are consistent with overall Bureau and Department missions, goals, and objectives. Works with stakeholders to ensure effective programmatic, financial and operational decision-making.

        Plans, implements, and controls the effective flow and storage of goods, services, and related information from the point of origin to delivery. Develops and executes standards for procurement, delivery, and accountability of equipment.

        Qualifications

        Applicants must meet all the qualification requirements described below by the closing date of this announcement.

        Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

        • Experience implementing security programs sufficient to analyze program requirements.
        • Experience utilizing various analytical methods to conduct program evaluation in order to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
        • Experience providing guidance related to program operations, policies and practices to a variety of stakeholders.

        There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-13 position.
