Prog Instructor/Rad School - Full Time Day
Position Summary:
Under the direction and guidance of the program director, responsibilities include: Correlating and coordinating clinical education with didactic education and evaluating its effectiveness; Participating in didactic and/or clinical instruction; Supporting the program director to assure effective program operations; Participating in the accreditation and assessment processes; Maintaining current knowledge of the professional discipline and educational methodologies through continuing professional development; Maintaining current knowledge of program policies, procedures, and student progress. Preparing and maintaining course outlines and objectives, instructing, and evaluating student progress; Supporting the program director to assure effective program operations; Participating in periodic review and revision of course materials; Maintaining current knowledge of professional discipline; Maintaining appropriate expertise and competence through continuing professional development.
Shift - Monday through Friday 8:00 Am to 4:30 PM
Qualifications & Education
Completion from an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Holds, at a minimum, a Bachelor 's Degree. Master's Degree in Education, Science, Healthcare or related field strongly preferred. Registered in Radiology Technology by the ARRT, and a current and valid license from the State of NJ Department of X-ray Compliance. Current CPR certification by the American Heart Association. Physical dexterity to operate a variety of complex stationary and mobile radiation producing equipment and mechanical accessories. Ability to work in sensitive areas including the OR and critical care units. Demonstrate proficiency in curriculum design, program administration, evaluation, instruction and counseling. Maintains current knowledge of professional discipline, regulatory standards and educational methodologies through continuing professional development and pursuit of scholarly activities. Current knowledge of and analytical ability to assess federal and state laws and their impact on educational programs. Demonstrates ability to collect statistics for accreditation process and for other uses of this information. Ability to write and communicate effectively with all levels of hospital staff and faculty. Must be able to effectively use computer-based programs to prepare classes and to present educational material to the students, i.e., PowerPoint, Word, etc. Ability to work cooperatively within the health-system, and with patients, family members, co-workers, and multidisciplinary team members (i.e., physicians, Patient Care Services staff members, etc.). Ability to utilize effective time management to set priorities, perform job related responsibilities, and respond quickly to emergency situations. Ability to use analytical and critical thinking skills to effectively problem-solve.
