Job Description

Production Quality Manager

My client is looking for a Production Quality Manager to join their team. The company is an established niche specialty manufacturing company near the Plymouth, Canton, Redford area and is a subsidiary of General Motors. The candidate should have 5- 10 years' experience in management of quality for production of automotive underbody castings.


Responsibilities:

·Oversee all aspects of quality for large scale production of underbody castings for Cadillac Celestiq Electric Vehicles and additional automotive lines.

·Must have strong production quality tracking & troubleshooting of quality methods

·Prior experience with ISO & IATF quality systems are required.

·Responsible for handling and overseeing audits.


Qualifications:

·Must have 5-10 years of production & quality automotive industry management experience.

·Must have a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other engineering specialty.

·Must have experience with ISO 9001:2015 or IATF 16949.

·Must have audit industry experience.

·Strong production quality tracking and troubleshooting methods are required for large scale productions.

·Preference for industry experience & knowledge of automotive castings and machining of castings is ideal.

·Preference for prior experience with automotive underbody castings of electric vehicles is an advantage.


Salary & Benefits:

Salary range D.O.E. - $80,000 -$110,000

Benefits:Additional pay is a Year-end Bonus, 2 weeks' vacation first year, 16 paid holidays, vacation time, 401K matching, medical, dental, plus additional benefits
