Production Manager Jobs

Our client, a respected manufacturer of many product lines, is looking to add a Production Manager to their growing team. This individual will be responsible for leading operations and personnel within a multi-site production facility. The ideal candidate should have a background in effectively coordinating, supervising, and creating a positive team culture. This position is located in the Metro East of St. Louis.

Pay and Benefits: $100K-$115K, Health/Dental/Vision/401k

Responsibilities of a Production Manager:

• Lead a team of approximately 8 direct reports and 140 production employees.
• Act as Lean Manufacturing expert including background with 5S, Kaizen events, RCCA, etc.
• Create a positive team culture within the plant environment to promote goals and objectives outlined by the organization.
• Develop training and development programs for team members.
• Advocate and recommend promotions and disciplines as needed.
• Direct all product flow and manpower assignments for all production areas.
• Take direct responsibility for quality, delivery, and cost goals all within budgetary parameters.
• Coordinate with Safety Manager in order to meet safety goals.

Success of a Production Manager:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of manufacturing supervision/management experience required.
• Prior background using technical tools related to the position including, Microsoft Office, MRP systems, etc.
• Effective project management skills within a manufacturing facility a must.
• Possess excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to set expectations, drive accountability, and promote effective operations.
