Production Engineer - Water Team

Assists in assuring that SWD properties and frac water supply operations operate at a maximum economic rate by analyzing associated costs and estimating the production capabilities and the economic value of wells.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

• Keep track of 3rd party capacities to move water to least expensive offloads during flowback or downtime events. Maintain relationships with 3rd Share forecasts, etc. Prioritize recycle
• Utilize boost pumps/understand hydraulics to move water to most economically efficient locations
• Maintain produced water forecast to foresee upcoming water disposal needs
• Maximize water into SWD operated system
• Downhole SWD’s – workovers, stimulation, tracking well performance
• New Connection Opportunities – serve as project manager with facilities/surface land/completions on new pipeline connections or new agreements. Build economic models/forecast use of new offloads/understand hydraulics/negotiate fee structures or provide suggestions on appropriate fee structures to the negotiating party/build presentations to pitch to management
• Surface equipment support - H-pumps, drives, pump curves
• Day to day water nominations

• On call support, including nights and weekends may be required.
• Monitor competitor activity and well performance to obtain competitive advantage and assist in managing manage non-op capital commitments.
• Other duties as assigned
• Conduct business with the highest ethical standards; demonstrate decision-making skills that ensure the safety of all persons associated with SM facilities.
• Prepare written procedures and economic evaluations for well intervention, optimization and upgrade projects and periodically supervise execution.
• Maintain and analyze producing properties for profitability, participate in making recommendations for operational improvements.
• Work closely with Reservoir Engineers, Geologists and land personnel to maximize the value of assigned assets.

Role-Specific Technical Knowledge & Skills:
Working knowledge of production operations, SWD, and recycle/water transfer. Takes initiative to increase technical knowledge through practical application. Demonstrates understanding of a basin/resource play. General understanding of Reservoir and Completion Engineering.
Education:
B.S. degree in Engineering is required, Petroleum Engineering is preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of applicable experience
