Your New Role…

We are seeking a Production Assistant to join an ambitious and exciting unit that will create premium longform content exclusively for CNN Original Series. The Production Assistant will support the lead producers, associate producers, and senior leadership team in all aspects of production.

This is a project-based position for 1 year

Your Role Accountabilities…

• The Production Assistant reports to the Director of Production but will work closely with all levels of the editorial staff.
• This person should be highly organized and detail-oriented, as they will be responsible for supporting and producing multiple segments.
• The ideal candidate is creative and has a deep curiosity of news and popular culture.
• Production Assistants should be prepared to pitch stories, characters, and experts.
• There will be light to moderate travel.
• Candidates will be asked to develop, produce, and edit content to be posted on social media.
• Help manage workflows, calendars, and team communications
• PA’s will be asked to transcribe drafts of compelling interview descriptions, guest bios, and headlines, and support research packets assigned by producers and the senior leadership team.
• Candidates should have experience supporting shoots in the field.
• This role is based in New York or Los Angeles.

Qualifications & Experience…

• Vast experience researching and developing stories through development.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Experience in shooting and producing in the field.
• Understanding of diverse video formats, from live programming to storytelling
• This candidate should be an effective communicator, capable of working closely with senior producers and producers on their scripts and pitches.
• Passion for topical news and key issues of the moment, especially as related to popular culture.
• Second language is a plus.
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Strong oral and written communication skills

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $38,497.00 - $71,494.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
