The experience in healthcare can be complicated and hard to navigate, making what can already be a challenging time that much harder for a consumer. The Program Manager, Product Office – Consumer Product, is responsible for using product management best practices support larger business needs across customer experiences.
The Product Manager will be an integral part of the Product Management Office and will support the larger Consumer Product organization. The role involves partnering with a cross-functional team throughout the process – starting with insights and problem identification and following through to implementation and measurement to develop high-value, modern, intuitive, and cross-channel experiences. The individual in this role will be expected to use product and agile methodologies to transform healthcare experiences at speed and scale. As an integral part of the Product Office, you’ll be at the intersection of supporting all key business partners while helping drive best in class solutions to our customers.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Serve as a technical expert for all Product Office tools, systems, and processes
  • Lead documentation and standardization efforts for the Product Office, and larger Experience team
  • Partner with digital product and experience owners to ensure roadmap delivery in order to achieve business & digital goals
  • Support leadership team with preparing executive presentations
  • Responsible for driving cross-functional road maps, milestones, and key updates across the business. Serve as a business lead for larger team resource planning, events, and large format team updates
  • Collaborate with key business stakeholders to set digital goals, prioritize work, an align on quality & delivery expectations
  • Identify areas of opportunities to standardize presentations, file management, and team workspaces
  • Support operational excellence efforts to improve how Consumer Product plans, tracks, and delivers the portfolio of work
  • Build solid relationships with key stakeholders across the organization to identify and understand needs and opportunities
  • Drive decisions throughout the year adapt to emerging opportunities while navigating competing priorities

Required Qualifications
  • Solid analytical skills and business acumen
  • Experience prioritizing & managing demanding workloads with concurrent deadlines
  • Has previously worked or is currently working as a contractor placed at UHG or one of its subsidiaries or affiliates
  • 3+ years of experience in program/product management offices
  • Experience with large matrixed organizations and how they operate
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Ability to articulate exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate and inspire at all levels, including addressing opportunities, risks, and strategic positioning with business and technology leaders
  • Experience with Aha, managing large bodies of work, and reporting on program status
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with MS Office, Teams, and Outlook
  • Ability to articulate exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate and inspire at all levels, including addressing opportunities, risks, and strategic positioning with business and technology leaders
  • Experience using product management software AHA!
  • Experience in Healthcare
  • Experience in direct to consumer
  • Experience utilizing Visio or Miro for process mapping

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island or Washington residents is $85,000 to $167,300. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
