Job Description
Duro-Last Inc., the world’s largest manufacturer of prefabricated roofing systems, is looking for a Product Manager. The Product Manager is responsible for both product planning and product marketing. This includes managing the product throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, to deliver winning products. It also includes working with sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager’s job also includes ensuring that the product and marketing efforts support the company’s overall strategy and goals.
Responsibilities
  • Training programs for product roll out.
  • Manage vendor relationship with purchasing team.
  • Using surveys market research to get ideas for products that customers will want.
  • Comparing the company’s products to competitor’s products in order to assess competition in the market. Including product positioning and pricing strategies.
  • Develop data to measure the success of a product. Providing management with analyses and reports and responding to questions and requests from management.
  • Forecasting.
  • Defining product marketing communication objectives.
  • Helping to oversee the design and manufacture and planning how to market and promote the product to the public.
  • Specifying and overseeing the research needed to determine the needs and desires of customers.
Requirements
  • Expertise in the product or market including specific technical or industry knowledge
  • Superior project management and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required since the Product Manager has to communicate with team members, other departments, upper management and consumers of the company’s products
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business management
  • Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience as a Product Manager
  • Team player who collaborates well with others
  • Ability to maintain a keen attention to detail, multitask and work well under pressure
