Visa Risk Manager (VRM) is a web portal that provides a comprehensive suite of fraud and risk management tools that can be accessed through Visa Online 24/7. It is specifically designed to help issuers optimize fraud loss prevention and maximize profitability by providing clients with an effective transaction risk management decisioning system. From defining the parameters used to flag a transaction for review, to establishing rules to decline a transaction based on the potential for fraud, Visa Risk Manager enables intelligent decisioning throughout the entire transaction lifecycle.


As a Product Manager, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to strategically develop and inform new offerings to enhance the client experience. We are looking for a product manager to join our team who has a passion for process improvement, analytical thinking, and creativity. This role will provide the opportunity to enhance our incident management processes and inform the technology roadmap. Additionally, this role provides the opportunity to enhance the automated billing capabilities to increase efficiencies. Successful candidate will be skilled at forging strong partnerships with cross-functional teams, technology support, architects, and developers to define feature sets, roadmaps, and user stories to support the development process.


Essential Functions:


  • Design and implement an automated dashboard to track revenue, sales, penetration rates, and perform strategic analysis to inform business decisions.  
  • Leverage data to monitor ongoing product performance, enhance KPI dashboards, identify areas of opportunity and ensure data-driven decision making.
  • Identify and implement efficiencies to enable faster releases for billing changes.
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate business and technical details to diverse audiences including customers, product development teams, and key stakeholders.
  • Develop improved automated billing capabilities via coordination with the regional product partners, developments teams, and downstream dependent systems to drive VRM revenue.
  • Identify strategic opportunities for process improvement across technical excellence, user experience, and billing capabilities.
  • Document end to end billing process including VRM Billing FAQs to enable ease of access to billing processes.
  • Collaborate with regional product leads to understand nuances in their KPIs.  
  • Design automated incident management tracking and reporting capabilities to provide executive level stakeholders, regional partners, and risk groups with insights into operational incidents.
  • Inform technology roadmap decisions using data-driven insights to improve the platform performance, sustainability, scalability, and security.
  • The role requires considerable cross-functional collaboration, willingness to work with a global team across time zones, superb project management skills, flexibility to adapt to a variety of projects and initiatives and ability to operate proactively.
  • Inform executive-level stakeholders such as regional product leads and global SVPs on key insights identified through KPI analysis.  


This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.


Qualifications


Basic Qualifications:


  • 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced


Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)


Preferred Qualifications:


  • 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2


years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD,


MD)


  • You have prior experience from a high growth technology company or


financial services industry


  • Excellent project management skills, organization, and ability to manage


multiple workstreams at the same time


  • Knowledge of payments environments, fraud trends, and fraud risk


management


  • You have a demonstrated ability to drive product development with high


velocity and quality


  • You efficiently collaborate with engineering teams, client facing teams, and


other product stakeholders to gather requirements and turn those into action


  • Reputation for being a collaborative thought partner and business leader, with


ability to organize and motivate work across multiple team boundaries


  • Excellent communication and presentation skills at all organizational levels


with flair for getting people excited.


  • Experience in working with agile lifecycle and/or tracking and process


management tools, e.g. JIRA, JIRA Align


  • Successfully apply structured and critical thinking to ambiguous problems


(small, fast-moving initiatives or large, multi-dependency initiatives). Use data


to prove or disprove hypotheses and inform solutions set


Additional Information


Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.


Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.


Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 111,400.00 to 142,000.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
