We have six flagship locations in the US, where this Reserve experience comes to life. The Starbucks Reserve Food team is responsible for the strategy, category management and innovation for the food business in our Roastery and Reserve stores.
As a Product Manager - Reserve Food, you will be part of a dynamic and entrepreneurial team. We are responsible for the strategy, creation and commercialization of innovative food concepts and offerings for our US Roastery and Reserve locations. This role leads the commercialization and go-to-market of key platforms of our Reserve Food portfolio, as well as key strategic initiatives. We are looking for a candidate who is nimble, proactive, analytical, multi-tasking and problem-solving, with a focus on the customer.
  • Manages operating plans and budgets. Assists in tracking and analysis of product and program performance vs. expectations.
  • Commercialization
  • Leads cross-functional team through the food commercialization process, working closely with our Product Development, Kitchen & Operations Services teams, including feasibility, operational, and product development reviews.
  • Represent Reserve Food Team in cross-functional forums, working with teams across many functions.
  • Provide direction and gather inputs for component sourcing, planning, forecasting, naming, marketing, pricing, and costing.
  • Business Management:
  • Make recommendations regarding product objectives and strategy, positioning, placement, and promotional cadence.
  • Manages cross-functional team to deliver integrated launch programs for each promotion, including product direction, backgrounders for marketing and store operations and input into supply chain requirements.
  • Writes and develops product briefs for new Reserve food, with a lens on customer, need-states and business opportunity.
  • Manages pricing strategy and analysis.
  • Go-To-Market (for each promotion across multiple store formats)
  • Merge trends and other primary and secondary forms of research with fact-based business insights to create sound strategic recommendations. Uses data and insights to tell a logical and compelling story.
  • Creates and presents business case for new programs to support growth strategies and profitability targets.
  • Leads inputs and reviews partner training materials, including educational and training videos for field partners.
  • Leads promotional inputs and multiple reviews for in-store signage, in-store menus, social media.
We’d Love To Hear From People With
  • Experience in brand management, category management or product innovation (via agency, retail, product, or brand management) - 3-5 years
  • MBA preferred
Basic Qualifications
  • 3 or more years of experience in a role supporting marketing, brand management, or product management
  • Bachelors degree or 4 or more years of US military experience
  • 3 or more years of experience in a role leading the development of new or existing products or strategies from conception to implementation
  • 3 or more year(s) of experience in a professional role managing a budget
