Job Description
About The Job
The Product Assessment Associate must be able to complete required tasks with safety, efficiency and customer service mindset while still meeting deadlines. Under the direction of the Logistics Supervisor/Manager the Logistics Coordinator I, will be part of the team that is accountable to facilitate departmental needs in shipping, warehouse, and product assessment, and mastered one of the three essential functions within the supply chain and logistics department. We have 1st shift and 2nd shift openings. Salary range: $18-19/hr.
  • 2nd shift: Monday to Friday: 3:00 pm- 11:30 pm
  • 1st shift: Monday to Friday: 6:00 am- 2:30 pm OR
Essential Functions
Shipping
  • Move pallets from the shipping area to shipping docks
  • Meet the daily shipping goal.
  • Take immediate action to correct discrepancies found internally and externally.
  • Pack finished goods or spare parts to be shipped in appropriate boxes.
  • Keep the shipping area clean and organized.
  • Ensure the process and method used are accurate and efficient throughout the day.
  • Ensure availability of shipping supplies.
  • Ensure each shipment is secure and accurate.
  • Prepare shipment documentation.
  • Ensure the department manager is apprised of issues or concerns.
Warehouse
  • Receive spare parts and integrate them to warehouse.
  • Perform basic warehouse processes (create location, cycle counts, etc.).
  • Pick and match spare parts to repair order and sales order.
  • Integrate spare parts returns to warehouse.
Product assessment
  • Check individual quality performance report daily to correct errors.
  • Communicate with floor supervisors and/or artisans concerning any technical questions.
  • Follow SOP to open shipments in K & N area.
  • Participate in cross-training needs to assist in shipping department and or warehouse when needed.
  • Communicate with Customer Service Coordinators to report feedback on received shipments and ensure performance results or issues are relayed to stores.
  • Work closely with quality manager to communicate incoming quality issues or possible customer exchanges.
  • Assess incoming repairs to determine (Condition, Reparability/non Repairable, Authenticity, Free of charge repair)
  • Make recommendations to improve processes.
  • Participate in improvement projects within the company.
  • Manage and process all incoming client repairs within given lead time.
  • Meet daily goal to help reach 94% efficiency.
  • Generate quotations to recommend additional repairs and or needed repairs for client’s request.
  • Communicate incorrect/missing data and/or technical questions to the Logistic Supervisor.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities)
  • 1-2 years basic computer, 10-key data entry
  • Must be able to work overtime as required by the demands of the business.
  • Must be able to accomplish multiple tasks and respond quickly and effectively to changes in priorities.
  • Microsoft Excel preferred
  • Good communication skills, written and oral
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Minimum education required: High School Diploma or GED
  • Excellent organization and time-management skills
  • Team Player
  • Ability to pull or push up to 25 lbs.
  • Bilingual: English, Spanish is a plus
