BHMG - Urgent Care Eastpoint - PRN

MUST be a Licensed Medical Radiographer & Medical Assistant

The PRN MA with LMR assists the staff and physician by collection of pertinent patient information needed to determine physical and psychological needs, address and identify health problems, performs selected treatments, diagnostic procedures, chest x-rays, various extremity x-rays and routine duties. The MA with LMR functions as a member of the healthcare team with responsibilities commensurate with educational preparation, training and demonstrated competencies. Direct patient care is provided to patients of all ages.

The following is a summary of the major functions of this position. He or she may perform other duties, both major and minor, which may not be mentioned below, as well as specific functions may change from time to time.

• Assist physician with exams/procedures.
• Room/equipment/instrument set-up, cleaning, practice good infection control, order supplies and restock as necessary.
• Application of splints, braces and wound dressings in correct manner.
• Perform EKG’s, venipunctures, pulmonary function testing, and other lab procedures and treatments with accuracy.
• Maintains radiation safety per departmental policy
• Performs all radiographic exams and is responsible for all film quality
• Keeps all x-ray equipment and supplies clean, maintained and stocked.
• Accurately obtain vital signs and record patient data in an accurate, legal and appropriate manner.

Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred Limited Radiographer Certification required
• BCLS required Minimum two years of LMR and direct patient care experience preferred
• RT license may be considered in place of LMR
