Preventative Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a Preventative Maintenance Technician to join our team! As the PM Technician, you will provide Preventative Maintenance Service on a contract basis, and work to generate part sales through PM audits. You will also promote customer satisfaction and loyalty through quality service and press performance.

Responsibilities

• Complete all paperwork including recommended parts list, Field Service Work Orders, PM check lists, expense reports etc. on a timely basis.
• Print test press to ensure it is running to the customer's satisfaction.
• Must possess very good customer relations skills and represent Mark Andy in a positive manner.
• Provide customer with recommended parts lists, maintenance procedures and tips.
• PM Field Service Technician will work on most press models.
• Sell additional PM contracts.
• Part installation: install all parts ordered.
• Press evaluations: work to ensure customers press(s) are operating at their optimum level. Make necessary measurements to ensure press is stepped correctly. Recommend and replace parts as needed, make necessary adjustments such as calibrations, lubricate entire press.

Location: We are headquartered in Chesterfield, MO, however, this position requires 80% travel to customer sites. All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply regardless of location.

Qualifications/Skills Required

• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills,
• Ability to read basic electrical/mechanical and pneumatic diagrams
• Basic electronics and mechanical skills.
• Demonstrated Skills & Abilities: Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel 80% of the time
• Capable of using multi-meter and micrometers
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function of the position.

Education Required

High School degree or trade school degree

2 years customer service, electrical and mechanical experience

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Moderate to frequent exposure to shop environment; may be exposed to dust, odors, oils, fumes, chemicals, noise and moving parts. Work typically requires the usage of PPE and can require work on the facility’s production floor or customer’s production environment.

Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl and move about facility and/or customer’s facilities. Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds
