Casino Fandango is currently looking for a Prep Cook. This person will be supporting the Palm Court Grill. The candidate selected for this position will be reporting to the Sous Chef of the Palm Court Grill restaurant.
Our Prep Cook Will

• Be responsible for quality and proportion size.
• Create all the delightful stir fry dishes.
• Ensure kitchen and Health Department sanitation requirements are always maintained.
• Be responsible for making sure your work area is well stocked with all sauces, fresh veggies and meats to create a variety of wok recipes.
• Ensure that no food leaves the kitchen without a ticket, including manager’s meals.
• Disinfect and sanitize cutting boards and worktables.
• Use and apply proper kitchen safety procedures and basic cooking skills.
• Ensure that the quality and presentation of food products meet company standards.
• Perform all duties to company standards and policies.
• Work at least one station, maintaining the highest quality in finished product.
• Properly wraps, labels, dates, and stores all food items in their proper areas.
• Practice proper food handling.
• Keep workstation always clean during service time.
• Be responsible for preparing menu items as directed by the recipes provided by the Sous Chef and or Executive Chef.

Requirements

• Must have job related tools.
• Ability to maintain clean personal hygiene.
• Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule and weekends.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
• Must have 3 to 5 years of previous restaurant cooking experience.
• Knowledge of Asian dishes is a plus.
• Must be able to speak, write and understand the English language.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to successfully work in fast paced environment.
• Prior experience working with a wok prepping and cooking.
• Ability to maintain composure in potentially stressful environment.
