Job Description
Summary You will serve as a Electronics Technician to serve as a Radar Technician in the TSPI & TM Branch, in the China Lake Ranges Instrumentation & Data Systems Division of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE. Responsibilities You will provide daily support in a wide range of systems and serve as a the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the Remotely Operated Tracking Radar (ROTR) and Doppler Radar (DRX) (DSR) and (MVR). You will analyze and research technical issues, identify solutions, and communicate those solutions effectively, both orally and in writing to all levels of management. You will be responsible for leading projects and performing technical design reviews for all Remotely Operated Tracking Radars and Doppler systems at China Lake. You will establish priorities and coordinate work across projects, programs or people, and effectively balance work demands and anticipating and overcoming difficult obstacles to achieve a timely and positive outcome. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications (DT-04): Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-9/10) or pay band (DT-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: 1) Working and applying knowledge of Remotely Operated Tracking Radar (ROTR) and Doppler Radars (DRX) (DSR) and (MVR); 2) Performing work related to remote controlled portion of radar systems; 3) Supporting initiatives in research, development, design, evaluation, construction, inspection, production, application, standardization, testing, operation, and/or processes for radar systems; 4) Utilizing knowledge of high power transmitters, radar signal processors, and servo control to optimize Time Space Position Information. (DT-05): Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11/12) or pay band (DT-04) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: 1) Providing Subject Matter Expertise for mechanical and electrical systems related to Remotely Operated Tracking Radar (ROTR) and Doppler Radars (DRX) (DSR) and (MVR); 2) Performing work and advising on projects related to remote controlled portion of radar systems; 3) Leading initiatives in research, development, design, evaluation, construction, inspection, production, application, standardization, testing, operation, and/or processes for radar systems; 4) Utilizing knowledge of high power transmitters, radar signal processors, and servo control to optimize Time Space Position Information.
