POWER ELECTRONICS DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER (HYBRID)

Location Northville, USA

YOUR TASKS


Developing state-of-the art electronics for future electric vehicles. This position is in the Advanced Engineering department.

  • Implement design for EMC and manufacturing compatibility.
  • Complete worst case circuit analysis (WCCA) and identify performance targets.
  • Develop Hardware Architecture for power electronics and associated documentation.
  • Create schematics and PCB layout requirements.
  • Develop new and innovating concepts for future electric vehicles that include high voltage design.
  • Work with internal and external network for developing new concepts and filing patents.
  • Ensure design meets customer and internal requirements.
  • Understand the new megatrends and develop technology solutions for those trends.
  • Perform circuit simulations and calculations to support the design concept.
  • Build functional prototypes and test performance.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
  • Versatile to work on various aspects of design.
  • Bachelor or masters degree in electrical or computer engineering.
  • Team player with good analytic skills and “hands-on” mentality.
  • Experience with electronic module development and very good system understanding.
  • Ability to adapt and ramp up quickly on new tools and ideas.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
