Pool Cleaner Jobs

Position Overview:

As a Pool Cleaner, your primary responsibility is to ensure the cleanliness, maintenance, and safe operation of swimming pools and related facilities. You will be tasked with performing routine cleaning, maintenance, and chemical treatments to keep the pool area clean, well-maintained, and visually appealing for pool users.

Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning and Maintenance:

• Clean and maintain pool deck areas, including sweeping, mopping, and ensuring cleanliness of furniture, umbrellas, and other poolside amenities.
• Monitor and maintain proper water levels and circulation in the pool.
• Remove leaves, debris, and other foreign objects from the pool area and surrounding grounds.
• Empty and clean skimmer baskets and pool filters to maintain optimal filtration.
• Perform regular cleaning of swimming pools, including skimming debris, vacuuming, and brushing the pool walls and floor.

Chemical Treatment:

• Keep accurate records of chemical usage and maintain an inventory of pool cleaning supplies.
• Test and balance the water chemistry regularly using appropriate testing kits or equipment.
• Monitor and adjust chemical levels as needed to maintain proper sanitization and water quality standards.
• Add necessary chemicals (e.g., chlorine, pH adjusters, algaecides) to maintain proper water chemistry and ensure the pool is safe for use.

Equipment and Facility Maintenance:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as backwashing filters, lubricating o-rings, and replacing worn-out or damaged equipment parts.
• Inspect and maintain pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, and chlorinators.
• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of pool maintenance equipment, ensuring it is properly stored and organized.
• Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or potential hazards to the appropriate supervisor.

Safety and Compliance:

• Monitor and enforce pool rules and regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of pool users.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, such as accidents or water contamination, and take appropriate action to address the situation.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations, including those related to water quality and chemical handling.

Customer Service:

• Communicate effectively and proactively with supervisors regarding pool maintenance needs, repairs, and other related issues.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service to pool users, addressing any questions, concerns, or requests they may have.
• Maintain a positive and approachable demeanor while interacting with pool users, colleagues, and supervisors.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience in pool cleaning, maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and carrying heavy objects.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as pool cleaning may be required during non-business hours.
• Knowledge of pool cleaning techniques, water chemistry, and equipment operation.
• Familiarity with pool safety guidelines and regulations.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to operate pool maintenance equipment such as skimmers, vacuums, and chemical testing kits.
