Plant Engineering Manager/Process Improvement, Automated Manufacturing, Mid-West US

Korn Ferry has partnered with our client on their search for the role, Plant Process Improvement and Engineering Manager.

Tremendous growth and expansion have led to a need for a Plant Engineering/Process Improvement Manager position for a Mid-West manufacture of durable consumer goods products. Small to mid-size Plant Engineering Management experience in large durable goods is desired with extensive automated plant environment experience. Engineering leaders who will be responsible for the ongoing support of the building and equipment including maintenance, equipment performance and quality.

Qualifications include:

• BSME/EE/IE or related
• 10+ years’ experience as Plant Engineering Manager in an automated plant environment
• Ability to develop KPI’s and drive improvements.
• Experience overseeing direct/indirect reports and positions that will include multiple engineers and support staff.
• Extensive experience in ensuring the processing and manufacturing of products creates quality products. That includes:
• Drive key line performance metrics to budget and build a plan for continuous improvement.
• Employ LEAN and 6 sigma principles into the processes and use data to drive decisions.
• Floor layout, time studies and additional methods to drive process improvement throughout the facility.
• Plant Engineering Management experience with significant in high volume automated manufacturing of large durable goods/finished products would be ideal.
