Plant Manager – Johnson City, TN

The Role

We are excited to attract a Plant Manager who sets the example and has proven leadership skills to manage a high-performing team in our Perma R Products building envelope products manufacturing plant in Johnson City, TN. Our plant produces EPS and GPS non-structural foam products for the building and construction industry. This position will support the sales growth, innovation targets, and sustainability initiatives of our Building Products Solutions division by taking this plant to the highest level of performance.

Job Responsibilities

Business Planning
  • Contribute to the plant’s Annual Operating Plan and capital budget preparation

Operations & Safety
  • Support sustainability through innovation in product development
  • Direct and coordinate the daily operations of the plant for quality and on-time production of EPS and GPS non-structural foam
  • Execute the plant’s capital plan effectively and in a timely manner
  • Monitor and control waste to reduce production costs and negative environmental impacts
  • Initiate and manage continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure adherence to safety guidelines
  • Maximize productivity by monitoring and acting on plant KPIs, ie: plant and equipment runnability and uptime, conversion costs, OEE, and more

High Performance Team Building
  • Create a working environment focused on employee safety, training, and product quality
  • Coach team members on INDEVCO philosophy, values, and work standards
  • Maintain high employee morale by fairly and consistently applying company policies
  • Conduct performance appraisals

Education & Experience
  • Specific experience with equipment producing foam would be a plus
  • Strong team building experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other analytical discipline
  • At least 10 years of experience in Building Products production
