Plant Manager
Reports to: Director of Operations
Demonstrated knowledge of working with hot furnaces (2000 degree's Fahrenheit); bagging operations
SUMMARY: The Plant Manager is responsible for the operations, production and supervision of plant, warehouse and maintenance personnel in the manufacturing plant and warehouse. The plant manager is also responsible to insure the operations comply with all safety, quality, housekeeping and other operational standards. Plant Manager has the overall responsibility for the facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee items produced to assure specifications are met resulting in a quality product that meets
- Oversee all staffing needs and shift scheduling.
- Plan and implement production program to maximize efficiencies.
- Oversee and verify training of all plant, warehouse and maintenance personnel.
- Oversee inventory of raw materials and coordinate with production plant to maintain smooth operation.
- Participate in the development and management of the expense budget to optimize company assets.

- Review production schedules to ascertain product data, such as type, quantities and specifications,
- Oversee that all health and safety requirements of Local, State, and Federal Agencies are met.
- Perform other duties and special projects as needed to support the plant operations
JOB TITLES DIRECTLY SUPERVISED:
2 x Shift Supervisors, 2-3 x Maintenance Techs, 2-3 x Warehouse Operators
SCOPE OF POSITION:
$3M Budget, 18-28 person plant, 2 shift operation
Qualifications
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university and – five years related experience and/or
training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SKILLS:
Leadership, Troubleshooting, Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Safety
