Job Summary:
This leadership position will work with the rest of the Plant leadership team to develop and
execute the financial and operational goals for the Plant and operate as part of the broader of
our Finance team.
Job Location: Fulton, NY
Responsibilities:
- Perform variance analysis and work with the Operations team to understand what is driving performance.
- Establish internal controls related to inventory flow through the facility.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects as a champion, process owner, accounting expert, or team member.
- Prepare and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Provide managerial oversight and support for the Accounting department. Continuous development of subordinates by understanding their capabilities and career goals, keeping them challenged in their jobs, and offering direction and assistance to achieve their goals.
- Support Facility success in reaching productivity goals. Prepare and communicate relevant data regarding manufacturing performance trends.
- Facilitate capital project portfolio and budgeting process including tracking, monitoring, and communicate capital expenditures. Calculate project cost, financing costs, cash flow, and return on investment. Also, review existing capital investments to justify viability.
- Negotiate various vendor contracts.
- Complete local, state, and federal reporting requirements for the facility.
- As a member of the management team, develop a business plan and forecasts to estimate the future impact of such decisions. Prepare timely and accurate operations reports to the management team that provides useful information over and above standard financial reporting.
- Provide financial leadership for the site by assisting and supporting the plant manager and leadership team in the areas of finance such as general accounting, inventory accounting, cost accounting, capital spending, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Provide financial analysis, support, and reporting for the manufacturing facility in Fulton, NY.
- Facilitate month-end close and subsequent analysis of performance results.
- Perform monthly SQF and safety audits and document findings and corrective actions.
- Lead Cost quoting process for the Fulton Operation.
- Apply for state and local incentives and manage the tracking and reporting of these incentives.
- Database administration and process improvement management by working with managers to identify ways to reduce cost and improve productivity--administer Bills of Material, Work Center routings, and develop Standard Costs.
- Develop and maintain cost information, which can be used to guide decisions to support the plant’s goals, objectives, and strategies.
- Develop and achieve the Operating Budget for the site by providing leadership and direction to the managers of the various departments.
Job Qualifications
Required
- Have prior experience as a Controller or Financial Manager of a manufacturing site.
- Can effectively interface with all levels of employees as well as external auditors.
- Experience with BPCS, Business Intelligence, Excel, and other financial programs.
- Speak, read, and write English fluently.
- Possess strong analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, technical and communication skills.
- Have a strong knowledge of MRP concepts and prior work experience of 3 years with cost accounting.
- Knowledge in printing operations is desirable.
Preferred
- CPA or CMA is desirable.
- A Bachelor of Science degree in accounting with a master’s degree is desirable.

Environment
Work in an office setting and be able to enter the production floor to perform an audit,
inventory review, or CI project; Have good eye-hand coordination to accurately enter computer
data; have good vision and not color blind. Ability to stand, sit and walk for long periods of
time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently or
occasionally sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, climb stairs, air travel, operate machinery by pushing
buttons or levers, and lift files or boxes up to 25 lbs.
