AECOM is seeking a Planning Intern to be based in Dallas, TX.
_This position is expected to begin in June 5, 2023._
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.
+ Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience withing their field of study.
+ Supports planning studies and reports for new and updated plans and programs.
+ Collects a variety of statistical data and prepares reports and maps on topics, such as census information, land use, roadway network, transit network, ridership, and asset inventories.
+ Analyzes data and prepares detailed maps for use on thematic maps and in reports.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
+ Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in planning, geography, or another related field
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
+ Familiarity with GIS
