GPI Geospatial is seeking a pilot for either our Greenville, SC office. This is a critical role that involves the operation of single and multi-engine aircraft (Cessna T206) to complete aerial missions for the collection of remote sensing data. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, cleanliness, and safe operations of your assigned aircraft, assessing weather conditions, and capturing remote sensing data in an effective and efficient manner. Project missions have a diverse range of geographical coverage and size. Must be ready for emergency response situations and take advantage of optimum flying conditions, including weekends and potentially holidays.

Responsibilities:
- Perform a pre/post-flight inspection of the aircraft
- When traveling, responsible for securing hangar space, arrangement of rental cars and hotels
- Safety-minded aircraft operation adhering to FAA and company safety guidelines
- Monitor weather and cloud conditions for project sites
- Securing a forward base of operations for project-specific assignments
- Work with sensor operator to perform efficient flight mission imagery/data collection
- Mission and ATC coordination planning
- Creating and adjusting flight plans
Qualifications:
- Aerial survey experience (preferred)
- Passing a background check and drug screening
- Complex aircraft experience, Cessna 206 preferred, surveying is a big plus
- 2nd Class Medical
- 650 Total hours (25 Hours Multi-Engine preferred but not required) (less if PA-31 aircraft experience)
- FAA Commercial pilot license with Instrument and Multi-Engine Land Rating
- High School diploma required, Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Basic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails and utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team members
- Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final consideration
- Read, write, and understand plans and directions given in the English language
- Able to wear GPI required PPE, i.e., hard hats, safety vest, work boots, and/or safety glasses/goggles while working
