We are recruiting for an exciting start-up in San Francisco. The company has raised over $500M in funding to develop its autonomous electric aircraft and advanced logistics system. They are transforming health access in locations such as Rwanda and Ghana and offering faster home delivery in the US.

The company has a growing team of 1000+ employees and is growing its perception capabilities. We are seeking an experienced hardware engineering leader to develop the sensor/perception hardware that will allow drones to operate at scale. You will report directly to the CTO and manage, mentor, and grow a team of mechanical, electrical, and optical engineers. You will inherit a talented team of 7/8 engineers from day one and grow this to 30+ engineers.

Please apply if you have:

• Experience with sensor systems.
• A strong understanding of camera design principles.
• 4+ years of experience with manufacturing and shipping perception hardware (e.g. computer vision/optical systems).
• Strong leadership experience recruiting, building, and managing a team of engineers.
