JOB PURPOSE/OVERVIEW
Tata Consumer Products US is seeking passionate and driven People Operations Specialist to join our People & Culture team. As a People Operations Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing recruiting strategies while ensuring a best-in-class employee experience. Reporting to the Head of People and Culture, you will be responsible for recruitment, benefits administration, onboarding, HR reporting, compliance documentation in the US and Canada. As a People Operations Specialist, you are able to combine great people intuition, business judgment, and discretion in your decision-making.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to the evolution of the People programs and processes such as employee engagement, recognition programs, and DEI&B.
- Prepare and file annual compliance reporting (EEO-1, etc.), and comply with relevant employment regulations.
- Continuously improve our employee lifecycle management via automation, innovation, and the latest HR trends for recruitment, onboarding, development, retention, and offboarding.
- Maintain an awareness of People principles, practices, and related regulations in US and Canada.
- Lead full life-cycle recruitment for regular full-time and temporary positions, including exempt, non-exempt, and Union roles. Maintain relationships with employment agencies, universities, and other recruitment sources.
- Aid in the execution of our People Strategy processes that attract, develop, recognize, and retain employees to support our short- and long-term strategic business needs.
- Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs and processes including but not limited to onboarding/offboarding, disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; analytics, health and safety; and training and development
- Evaluate and recommend best practices in the application of HR processes, systems, and policies
- Process new hire paperwork and maintain accurate records in Payroll and HRIS systems.
- Prepare and analyze HR reports and data, including headcount, turnover, and promotion rates.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS/QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Knowledge / Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in HR, ideally in consumer retail, food/beverage, hospitality industry, and/or production facilities.
- Minimum of two years of full cycle recruiting experience, preferably in the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry.
- Familiar with Canada employment law and regulations.
- Ability to protect and maintain confidentiality with discretion, judgment, and professionalism.

- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and strong analytical skills.
- Strong skills in recruiting, sourcing, and closing candidates.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
