Human Resources Generalist

Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Sr. Manager, People Operations, the People Operations Generalist will support all aspects of Human Resources (People Operations). This position is responsible for the detailed coordination between all departments within Craft Culinary Concepts. Our ideal candidate has a customer-focused attitude and is passionate about creating a seamless and delightful employment experience for team members.
Primary Job Duties
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
  • Credentialing including timelines, need for credentials, communicating with temp agencies, and coordinate with NPO Coordinator for NPO's
  • Oversee vendor management, update schedule if needed
  • Coordinate temporary staffing with third-party agencies including determining needs, placing orders, following up prior to events, and working with on-site managers on event day
  • Oversee CCC Work Program
  • Recruiting and staffing as needed including job postings, job fairs, screening, scheduling interviews, onboarding, new hire orientation, new hire paperwork, etc.
  • During events, oversee check-in and check-out of employees and volunteers, including uniforms, and be available to help answer any questions that may arise
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
  • Manage and maintain files and records effectively with all HRIS' available including updating certifications, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Processing of bi-weekly payroll including issuing of pay cards
  • Assist in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Experience supporting a healthy culture within an organization
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to four (4) hours in length
  • Able to maintain confidential information
  • Ability to work in extreme temperature fluctuations and around excessive noise AAP/EEO STATEMENT
  • Must have a driver's license
  • Collaborative and team-oriented
  • Available to work on event days including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Highly motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to lift up to 20-30 pounds on a regular basis
  • Must attain a valid County Food Handler's Card on file with Craft and in your possession for each event worked
  • Experience working with non-profit organizations
  • Accuracy and attention to detail required
  • Ability to effectively work in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities that require strong project management and decision-making capabilities and flexibility
  • At least 4 years of experience within People Operations, preferred
  • Must complete all pre-employment forms and successfully pass a background check
  • Experience in food and beverage industry
  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Can communicate effectively with all individuals across the organization
  • Must attain a valid TEAM or TIP certification card
