- Mentor clients by reassuring them the reality of recovery, assisting with increasing personal empowerment, helping them set and achieve goals
- Provide recovery education for every phase of recovery and work with clients in different settings (hospitals, residential settings, jail, office-based community settings, and client's home.)
- Identify and support linkages to community resources (communities of recovery, educational, vocational, social, cultural, spiritual resources, mutual self-help groups, professional services, etc.)
- Conduct discharge and intake surveys, monitoring peer satisfaction
- Full-time
- Must have lived experience of mental health and/or co-occurring mental health and substance use disorder and have knowledge of the drug and alcohol treatment system
- Must have a valid driver's license, personal vehicle insurance, and a good driving record
- Must satisfy state requirements for Certified Peer Recovery Supporter within 90 days of employment which includes being registered through OhioMHAS as a Certified Ohio Peer Recovery Supporter
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
