Job Description

The Payroll Administrator must have a thorough understanding of the PayChex Flex platform, including timecard management, payroll processing, time-off policy management and payroll taxes. They will be responsible for end-to end processing of Payroll for a U.S. based staff of 100+ employees. They will act as a partner to the HR team and will also be responsible for communication with employees.

Responsibilities
  • Assist employees with weekly timecard management.
  • Work closely with our payroll provider to provide all necessary information for the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.
  • Explain payroll and time entry policies and procedures and respond to inquiries from employees.
  • Assist with audits and information for compensation related projects.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll tax set-up and payments in coordination with payroll provider.
  • Manage all activities related to payroll administration.
  • Maintain and audit payroll records, including earnings, deductions, and tax withholdings.
  • Manage and maintain time off accruals.
  • Oversee job code management and work assignments in timekeeping.
  • Partner with Accounting to provide all required information for downstream processing of payroll.
  • Recommend and implement processes for scaling our systems and processes.
  • Fully manage payroll for onboarding and terminating employees.


Qualifications


  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong data analysis skills and ability to perform complex calculations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
  • Significant experience with PayChex Flex.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with full cycle payroll processing.
  • Highly self-motivated, ability to work well in a cross functional team, and excellent communication skills are essential.
  • Proven knowledge of multi-state payroll processes, requirements, and regulations.
  • Proficiency with MS Office including strong Excel skills.
