Job Description

WSN is seeking a Payments Specialist to place in a role with our client, a major investment bank in Jacksonville, Florida.


Overview [Business/Role Specific Description]

USD Cash Operations team is primarily responsible for the provision of payment processing and investigation services to our global Financial Institution (FI) and Corporate Clients. The team also undertakes an element of Funds Release and Static Data activities. USD Cash Operations is primarily supporting the Corporate Bank business. Corporate Bank provides commercial banking products and services for both corporate clients and financial institutions worldwide. Our universal expertise and global network allow us to offer truly integrated and effective solutions.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring timely, complete, and accurate processing of payment transactions (including performing all relevant controls).

• Reach out to the relevant Ops desk to get updates on ISO20022 payments.

• Ability to identify and implement innovative solutions to ISO20022 operational problems.

• Ensures appropriate escalation of operational, regulatory and other risks to the COO and functional Leadership functions; contributes to the development and implementation of solutions to monitor and mitigate risk.

• Gathering, validating and objectively analyzing relevant information to identify key issues, drawing sound conclusions aiding decision making including but not limited to working with Operations Engineers (OE) and / or developers if unusual increase in volume to determine cause.

• Support and delivery for release management and test activities.

• Support MIS reporting and analysis of statistical data, inclusive search for new data source for evaluations and control of data.

• Participate in any releases related to the Payment System to ensure seamless processing.

• Uses knowledge and experience to influence design and implementation of strategies to eliminate waste and improve efficiency and performance of existing processes and reports.

Your Skills and Experience:

• ISO20022 payments related knowledge, experience in operational readiness and related certification is highly desired.

• You will have previous relevant experience in global banking or payment operations.

• Previous relevant experience in one or more specific technical areas.

• Knowledge about *** system landscape is an advantage.

• Degree or some knowledge of Wire/ High Value Payment (HVP), Automated Clearing House (ACH), Payment Processing is preferred.

• Have high attention to detail and organization skills.

• Can work in fast paced environment with deadlines, able to keep pace with technical innovation and maintain a broad understanding of the business offering.

• Have a self-driven working style.

• Have expertise in Microsoft-Office tools (i.e. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
