Patient Transportation Aide Jobs

Under the direction of the Radiology Director and Chief of Radiology, supports patient care activities, which include transporting patients, moving patients, and supporting co-workers to complete departmental job duties. Exhibits a high degree of tact, courtesy, and poise when interacting with patients, staff, and visitors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Orients technical and nursing staff, and students to transport activities and hospital procedure.
• Other duties may be assigned.
• Transports all patients and equipment in safe and efficient manner.
• Works to expedite the transport of patients to meet the operational and scheduling needs of the various imaging sections in the imaging services department.
• Understands written and verbal instructions pertaining to operating equipment and carrying out job duties.
• Demonstrates positive interpersonal skills with all customers.
• Must have a demonstrated history of excellence service skills exhibited by courtesy, cooperative spirit, and tact when interacting with employees, members, and visitors of all ages.
• Performs any other duties as required.
• Maintains knowledge and awareness of safety issues and practices. Participates in the department Quality Management Program.
• Works effectively in conjunction with all nursing, technical and medical staff, both internal and external.
• Maintains a high standard of personal hygiene and professional ethics. Adheres to the facility dress code and attendance policy.
