Part-Time Special Events Staff

The City of Helotes is hiring Fun Ambassadors, also known as, Special Event Staff! The City hosts over 20 special events during the year, about 1 to 4 events per month, and we need your help to ensure the events are fun for vendors and the public. Special Events Staff are part-time employees. Common duties include helping with set up, taking down, vendor management, and answering questions from the public. Many events are outside so Staff may be working in very hot or cold weather depending on the season. While not all Staff will work each event, we are looking for Staff who have flexible schedules. The most frequent event is the Helotes MarketPlace, an arts and crafts fair held on the first Saturday of each month in Old Town Helotes. This is when the Staff are most needed. Staff usually work a 6-hour shift in the morning or afternoon but the need may arise for an Staff to work all day. Staff perform various tasks such as setting up/taking down, greeting/assisting guests and vendors, locating booths for vendors/guests, cleaning, and more.
