Part Time Administrator - Edinburgh

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working people person to help in our administration team supporting our Policy and Advocacy and Conservation Science teams in Scotland.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support to our Policy and Advocacy and Conservation Science teams, including the administration of financial processes, travel and accommodation, events, organising and maintaining materials and equipment, diary bookings and fleet car administration so that our staff and volunteers can operate efficiently. They will also be required to manage telephone and face to face enquiries from staff, volunteers, visitors and the public to provide a welcoming reception to the office.

This is a part time role for 22.5 hours per week, based in our Edinburgh Office, working Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays with the option to work at home on Mondays if desired.

Essential Skills, Knowledge And Experience

• Experience of working in an office or customer care environment in an administrative role
• Knowledge of budget management terminology and processes
• Able to organise meetings and events and coordinate all aspects of the meeting or event logistics.
• Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences whether by phone, email or in person. .
• Organisational and time management skills.
• Willing to undertake Emergency First Aid at Work training.
• Knowledge of document management and team collaboration tools.
• Proactive approach to problem solving.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (especially Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Able to make the best use of time particularly when under pressure from competing priorities, prioritising and delegating tasks effectively, during periods of both low and high demand
• At least 5 GCSE's, including Maths and English

Desirable Skills, Knowledge And Experience

• Experience of working with volunteers.
• Interest in and knowledge of conservation and the natural world.

This is a Permanent Part-Time role for 22.5 hours per week.
