Part-Time Faculty, Nurse Practitioner (Online)

Summary of Position

Youngstown State University Centofanti School of Nursing seeks to hire qualified nurse practitioner educators for a faculty pool for their online AG-ACNP and FNP programs. This role is needed to fulfill teaching responsibilities in an online classroom and/or clinical supervision.

Candidates must meet the academic and practice credentials for the part-time faculty role.

Clinical experiences and leadership in acute care or primary care settings are preferred.

Position Information

Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students promptly. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university-provided tools and resources.

Qualifications and Competencies

Minimum Qualifications: At least an MSN or other graduate degree in nursing. Current unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse. Certified as a nurse practitioner. Graduate-level teaching experience in an academic institution, in online or face-to-face learning modalities.

Preferred Qualifications: Doctoral degree in nursing. Certified as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner. Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and networking skills.
