We have an opportunity with OrthoCarolina for a Part Time Radiology Technologist for our OrthoCarolina Ballantyne office in Charlotte. This position is scheduled for 36 hours a week and is benefit eligible.
The Radiology Technologist will provide diagnostic quality radiographs for physicians and/or physician assistants while protecting employees and patients from unnecessary radiation and usage of appropriate protection standards.
  • Prepares copies of x-ray films/CD’s for patients, tests, surgery and physicians as required.
  • Logs radiological procedures completed, processes charges and related paperwork using computer equipment as directed.
  • Delivers to physician for reading/interpretation film and or images by using the OrthoCarolina Picture Archive Communications System (PACS) when applicable.
  • Assists with the transportation of patients between the examination module(s) and the Radiology department. Assist with patient flow in the examination module(s) as directed by a supervisor.
  • Develops and processes radiological film/images and examines radiological films/images for properties such as density and contrast, definition, magnification and distortion.
  • Maintains cleanliness of examination rooms and stocks necessary medical and/or radiological supplies in the department. Compliance with all OrthoCarolina policy and procedures.
  • Cleans and makes minor adjustments to radiology equipment and ensures equipment is in working order and reports equipment malfunctions to Radiology Manager or designee.

Professional license or certification requirements:
  • Reliable transportation for travel to provide staffing coverage and attend meetings at satellite locations/main office.
  • Current CPR certification recommended.
  • Registered Radiology Tech by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (AART) or ARRT registry eligible.
