Radiology Tech - Full-Time - Day Shift

Tampa General Hospital’s Radiology Department provides state-of-the-art imaging for a variety of conditions and interventional invasive procedures. Their fellowship-trained radiologists are trained in diagnostic imaging techniques for all of the hospital’s sub-specialties, including neuroradiology, cardiac, musculoskeletal, thoracic, body, and vascular imaging. In collaboration with the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine, the imaging department serves as a training facility for medical students, residents, and fellows. The imaging departments also serve as a training organization for many imaging programs. Their relationship with Tower Radiology offers patients and students over 18 different location options for outpatient imaging.

• Under the direction of a Radiologist, Administrative Director, Radiology Team Leader, or Radiology Section Manager performs radiographic procedures according to protocols established for various age groups of patients, at a technical level requiring supervision of technical detail.
• Performs job duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.
• Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.
• ARRT registry eligible.
• Assesses the age-specific needs of the patients.
• Graduate of a radiologic technology program from an accredited school.
• Licensed to practice as Radiologic Technologist by the State of Florida. (Temp Florida Licensure)
• No weekend rotation
• Performs a variety of general technical radiographic procedures that will require judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis.
• Will not be able to perform exams prior to evidence of licensure.
• Current CPR certification.
• No Call, no surgical procedures
